On March 8th Saturn will be at it’s closest to the Earth. You might even see it with a small telescope. Ahh, the Perfect timing for a Saturnian working on (SAT) the night of the 7th!
I’m planning a HUGH ritual with hopefully wonderful implications. I’m debating if I should crack open my tincture a little bit for this one. It’s only been sitting a week but it has a wonderful color and scent already.
I’m finally feeling myself and my magick going somewhere. With some guidance and advice from some experienced Thelemites and other practitioners I think I’m finally finding my niche. It’s much more Qabalistic than I had originally thought, but then again I didn’t understand it much before. I suppose it’s like a “When the student is ready the master appears” kind of thing.
Anyway, I like it.
Welcoming March
When people talk about March weather, they always seem to mention the lamb and lion saying. Some skywatchers believe that there’s a heavenly connection. The constellation Leo, the lion, is rising in the east at the beginning of March, hence the “comes in like a lion,” while Aries, the ram, sets in the west at the end of March, and so “will go out like a lamb.”
October 28, 2008. This new moon presents itself in the sign of Scorpio. It is the perfect time to release those broken and battered, unhealthy and unwanted energies and influences from your life. Of course on top of that three days later is Samhain, the Pagan New Year, so what better time to cast off the old and ready to embrace the new?
Look deep within and recognize your doubts, fears, insecurities, self-delusions and negative emotions for what they are. Scorpio is the truth seeker. If you listen to yourself and dare to face your “demons” then you will benefit from the ability to give yourself the freedom from them and their influences. The truth shall bear open your vulnerabilities, your weaknesses
Are you acting in ways that are causing distress to those around you? Are you feeling the repercussions of your actions coming back upon you? Are you enabling and supporting others who are causing you pain and only bringing stress and fear into your life? Are you afraid to deal with situations that arise or afraid to let them go? Are you afraid to live your life on your terms and settle for the mundane?
Look closely at your fear and what causes it. What is it that makes you uncomfortable? It is time to face it, look into the eyes of the jackal and smile because once you release that fear, it has no control, no power over you. Be it a job, a relationship, bad habits or bad attitudes that have overtaken you, it is time make changes now. Not that it will be easy or even pretty. The sharp teeth and the pain from one swipe of it’s claws can be just as real, but with the dismissal of your fears, you gain an impenetrable armor.
Being so close to the night of the thinning veils, it is a good night to call upon spiritual assistance, be it ancestral, animal guides or Lucifer himself! You may find new guidance and aides after this night if you open yourself up to the possibility and advice of what might come to you.
Finally, it all comes down to responsibility. Responsibility for your self, responsibility for those in your life, responsibility for the consequences of your actions, and responsibility for your world. It is all in your hands. The new moon and Samhain are both all about change and new beginnings, death and rebirth.
Other influences on this new moon:
The conjunction of Sun and Moon in Scorpio = We desire to stay in control and a position of power.
Pluto and Venus in Sagitarius, Mercury in Libra = Through compassionate and understanding forces the trauma from the stripping away of the false truths we convince ourselves of is eased.
Saturn in Virgo = makes it a good time to commit to the release of negativity in an effort to heal your self.

Mon 9/29/08 Relationships and Beauty
We will be ready to take a new look at our relationships and our surroundings today under the Libra New Moon. It could be another creative day, but watch out for over spending, over eating, or over talking late this afternoon (mid afternoon west coast). Our minds will be active this morning (east coast), and by mid morning (early morning west coast) our creativity will be in full swing. People will be polite and cooperative on this day of Rosh Hashanah. Early tonight (this evening west coast) we may feel motivated to act our emotions, but our inspirations may fizzle out later. Wed 10/1/08 Take on the World and Win
Its going to be a passionate day under the Scorpio Moon, and we are going to be able to take on anything life throws at us. It will be a good day for solving mysteries, uncovering the truth, and just plain old troubleshooting. Our emotions may get a little distorted early this evening (late afternoon west coast), and we may feel like our self-esteems are taking a dive. But, it will pass quickly. We may find ourselves staying up late working on a special project. Major Planetary Events Today: None
Thu 10/2/08 Giving 100%
Even though we may not have gotten much sleep last night, we will awaken feeling rested and ready to work. We will give 100% to anything we do today, even the drive home from work. The feelings may get too intense this evening (mid afternoon west coast), and we may find ourselves turning to our addictions for comfort. Late this evening (late afternoon west coast) our emotions may flatten as the Moon goes void of course, and we may want to spend some time alone on this last day or Ramadan. Fri 10/3/08 Sparkle and Optimism
There are absolutely no aspects today: major, minor, lunar, planetary, anything. And, that means today is up to us. The Moon will be in sparkly and optimistic Sagittarius. So get out, follow your dreams, and make your day! Major Planetary Events Today: None
Sat 10/4/08 Romance and Fun
Our masculine and feminine sides could be tickling us today, and we may just want to go outside and play under the sunshine. There could be lots of romance in the air, and some of the more timid may even speak up. We may have to take a break and actually do some work this evening (late this afternoon west coast), but a friend may call within a few hours and we will be ready to drop our toils. Sun 10/5/08 I am the Center of the Universe
We are going to think that the world is ours to take today, but we may find ourselves overreacting to what someone says or does. Too many of us may think that we are the center of the universe today, and that could lead to personal and internal conflicts.
